About

I never thought I would write about Politics or History. Yet as I get older, I’m finding these two topics carry a great importance in our lives. In High School, a history teacher told us, “Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.” This quote has it’s own history dating back to 1905 when George Santayana published, “The Live of Reason or the Phases of Human Progress” where he wrote, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemed to repeate it.” Like our Framers with the Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers, I’ve taken a pen name — Prudence. According to Aristotle prudence is practical wisdom. It is a way of seeing what is good in the here and now. It is a way of identifyng the right action among the choices that confront us. In these turbulent times, I hope to find a way to walk the prudent path and find a wise decison.
